Happy Halloween!!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! Perhaps because it's the one
day out of the year that we can all play.

Need some last minute ideas for costumes?
How about being a mummy? All you need is gauze, spirit gum, and a little black
makeup. Put black eye shadow, or black theatre makeup around the eye area up
to the eyebrows and below the eyes. Add gauze or cheesecloth, wrapping around
the head and gluing in a few places with spirit gum on the nose and cheeks.
Wrap your hands, and you're ready to go.

What about a headless horseman/woman?
Cut a piece of cardboard or foamboard, approximately the width of your shoulders,
12 to 14 inches. Secure the cardboard to a plastic headband with hot glue.
Put the headband on and adjust the cardboard so that it's as level as possible.
Place a long overcoat over the cardboard, adjusting as needed so that you can see
out the front where the coat buttons. Voila!

How about a mad scientist? All you need are some test tubes, a white
lab coat and some crazy hair.

How about a different approach? Buy one of the spiders
with the long legs (sold for decorative purposes). Unwrap the legs,
and wrap them around your neck and wear as your "pet". Paint black
makeup on your face to go along with the spider.

Enjoy the holiday!

Hi,
I'm Fuego Phoenix. Welcome!  This blog is created to share ideas on crafting
which I've been enjoying for several years now. My background is art, but over the
years, I've learned how to upholster and redesign furniture, create beautiful custom
home accents, purses, pillows and gifts, and for the past 4 years crafts for kids.

Easy Crafts on a Budget for Kids 4 to 104, my new book, will soon to be released
on Amazon as an ebook and a paperback around November 20, 2012. Learn how to make paper mache, cardboard, Popsicle stick, and drinking straw crafts. Learn how to make crafts from items easily found. Learn new ways to make fabric and paper crafts. All the crafts in the book are a compilation of projects designed by my
grandson and myself. We've had great fun creating.

Added bonuses from the book are:
                                  1) You spend quality time with your kids.
                                  2)  The crafts are budget friendly.
                                  3) The crafts make great gifts.
                                  4)  The projects inspire imagination.
                                  5)  Do-it-yourself projects bring confidence to kids.
                                  6)  The crafts are FUN!
                                  7)  The projects are EASY!

Check back from time to time. I'll be posting shortcuts on how to make crafts, boxes, how to make beautiful furniture out of an ugly piece, how to create beautiful storage
solutions and more.

Thanks for checking out the blog!
